Historic Map Restoration
Full restoration of this historic map of Newport, Kentucky dated from the City's founding in 1795. This truly unique project was painstakingly recreated, using original Fire Survey maps to replace the damaged, and missing sections. To better represent the canvas backed, survey map material, some damage and texture was preserved to indicate the 225th Anniversary of the founding of the City of Newport, this map was restored to celebrate.
